Also try adding ancho chili powder or chipotle chili powder..... there are lots of ideas.... try garam masala or Chinese 5 spice powder....

I use chopped onion, some worchestire sauce, and Cajun spices. I usually stuff mine with cheese too. A good hamburger isn't so much about the spices, you don't want too much. It's about the grilling, being moist and juicy. Having it stuffed with your favorite cheese is awesome too.

Roll out the meat in a flat, thin rectangle. Sprinkle on a mixture of salt, freshly ground black pepper, garlic powder, fold the meat in half, and cut into squares for burgers. Grill as normal. Mmmmm.

Dried onion soup mix is also a classic.
