What can I serve to complete this East Indian inspired meal?!

Question: This Saturday I'm having guests for dinner and I'm doing an East Indian meal. I'm serving a chickpea-spinach curry, rice, naan, and squash. I bought some peas as well, but I'd really like ideas for a salad or side dish that would complete this meal. Thanks for your help!

ok.. i am an east indian and i got just the thing for you..

its called raita.. its made fron thairu.(yogurt) and vegetables.. like cucumber, carrots, onnions.. its soooo delicious.. my grandmother still makes it.. it goes very well with rice and curry.. some even eat it with naan..trust me.. its really nice..
i would get the recipe for you from my grandma but she is ill and sleeping now..

do get the recipe from the internet.. its really tasty and goes with your menu.. you chose quite a good one in fact... it really reflects traditional south indian food..

and here is a great typical sputh indian dessert.. its called paisam.. you can make two type.. i 4get the names.. one is brown and the other is white in colour.. both are fab but the white one goes with your recipe.. honestly.. pls trust me..

make some deep-fryed shrimp with a spicy aoli sauce..... serve it with some romaine hearts and citrus herb dressing...

cucumber(peel , remove seed and keep on the white flesh), cut to small bite size potion
mustard seed ( fried in little oil)
1 cup yogurt
mint leaves, chopped up finely
green chilies (remove seed ), chopped finely.
tomatoes (remove seed) cut to small bite size potion

MIX everything up and add salt to taste

or this easy one...

Pineapple (remove skin, eyes, and core... cut to Small potion)
red chili / red capsicum.(remove seed) chopped finely
mint chopped
1/4 cup cider vinegar / 1 cup yogurt
sugar .
salt.

Mix everything up , add sugar and salt to taste...

A simple onion salad.

Slice sweet shallots in rings.
Then get lime juice and marinate it in the lime for 1/2 hour. Then add finely chopped parsley toss and serve.

how about samosas (YUMMY!!) and a mint cilantro chutney to acompany. There are some fab recipes on the internet and samosas can be homemade or buy them frozen and ready to cook at your local indian grocer. I like the DEEP variety.
