I am Indian but I had it in Jamaica & I LOVE IT! Jamaican curries, ackee, jerk chicken, conch..... all lovely & delicious!

I'm not too much into spices and I am not a spicy eater but some of their food is gorgeous!
I don't like it but alot of my friends like it.
I went to Jamaica once and I love the spices. I ate a lot of rice and peas, caliloo (greens), yams (kind of a waxy potato), and boiled green bananas when I was there. I love hot peppers and Scotch bonnets are a lot like habaneros but it's kind of sweet tasting in addition to the hotness. That was almost ten years ago and I still try to make food with Jamaican "jerk" style spices and I like it when I can find green bananas that I can boil.
A Jamaican friend of mine makes salt fish and aki, fried plantains, yams, etc. for me but they keep to the kitchen and keep me out so the food is a real treat for me. I love it (and the pampering).

P.S. Also, they bring Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee back when they visit Jamaica. YUMMMMMMmmmmm.
Fresh and hot food is generally tasty. People when hungry, eat freshly prepared food. Generally people do not give their comments on food. But the sales figure show they like it.

I am white and there is not really any food I dont like. I have been to St. Lucia a few times, Martinique, St Vincent, Jamaica and a few other Carib/WI islands. The food differs a bit from isle to isle but in general I like the food in the south more. I love the "Creole" influences in the cuisine there. Some of my favs are Akee, bread fruit, soursop (sp?) and green bananas.

I really luv rice & peas and served with curreid goat or jerk chicken with gravy. I also love guineess punch & the butter beans dish. In fact the last restaurant I went to in East Ham, the butter beans were so tasty I made it when I got home & i would have never have done that b4
love it but i have a palet for different foods i love trying new things my partner and i experiment alot at home
