How do you prepare and eat your kippers?!

Question: I just bake mine and eat them with bread and butter. All but some of the bones and skin. Is there any other way to enjoy them?

I get the kind that are smoked in a tin. I like them cold with soda crackers and a little mustard. When I take them to work for breakfast everyone complains-they hate the smell.
