Hawaiian cuisine, and the best way to learn?!


Question: I love Hawaiian food. Specifically BBQ and Kalua Lau Lau...Spam Musubi, Mochi (Japanese, but hey I've liked it since childhood), Hamburger Steak, Squid, Poi EVERYTHING! ( I lived in Japan as a kid) However I am Haole and want to learn to cook the food properly. Any suggestions?

there are so many website that teach you exactly how to cook things. i'll go look for some for you. i can only do one thing at a time because my computer sucks so i'll edit this question in a bit. it's real easy and if you are used to eating it you'll have an easier time cooking it because you will know how it's supposed to taste. oh, and i make mochi all the time! it's almost hawaiian already! lol...i love how hawaii shares customs and foods with japan and many other places.
