Actually it's mostly made with either lamb, goat or chicken!.!.!.beef or turkey or a mixture of meats is less common!.
The condiments used are hummus, tomato, onion, lettuce, parsley, cucumber, tahini (and a type of pickle -- pickled turnip, gherkins or cabbage)!.
Cardomom, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cumin are common spices used in most dishes!. So you may find these flavours in shawarma!.
