Is it dangerous to eat Japanese food?!

Question: Is it dangerous to eat Japanese food!?
I'm one of those people who like to try exotic foods!. So far I've only tried things from Meiji and Irish products!. I'd like to buy some Japanese based food items from off line but I'm slightly apprehensive because I don't really know what they may contain!. Is Japanese food standards anything like America's or can just about anybody distribute anything!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
The food standards in Japan are very stringent - probably much more so than American standards!. I would question any food purchased on line though no matter what country it's coming from!. Make sure your dealing with a reputable company!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The standards for Japanese foods is very high!. But it also depends on the quality of a restaurant you go to and that sort of thing!.
For the best quality foods the prices will be a lot steeper, but it will be worth it!.

The only thing I do not recommend eating is fugu, or blow fish!. This is a puffer fish and it contains small amounts of poison!. It is a delicacy in Japan and you have to be professionally certified to prepare this dish!. It could be dangerous at times, but if you like risks try it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Japanese food standards are very high!. In fact, they ban some U!.S!. imports because they have higher standards!.

Different cultures always have a different idea of what is safe to eat and what isn't, but there's no reason to fear Japanese food!.

You might be thinking of recent scandals about Chinese imports!. Japan is fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Absolutely not! In my opinion it's probably the healthiest cuisine in the world! You should maybe watch some of the cooking channels on television, and also the travel channel, like Anthony Boudraine, which is a favorite of mine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

some types of fish only japan has are poisonous!.
do not ever eat a sliced puffer fish!.
their sushi is raw, so there is a chance of food poisoning!.
besides that!. there really isnt anything that badWww@FoodAQ@Com

The only thing I would caution against is Fugu aka Puffer Fish which will kill you if it's poison glands are pierced/punctured during preparation!.

In Japan a chef must be certified before even touching Puffer Fish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just go tiy an AUTHENTIC japanese restaurant!. If it's authentic, then the food should, and will be great!. Japanese is my absolute favorite food!. You'll love it!Www@FoodAQ@Com
