I don't use measurements, I just go by taste!. If you're aiming for the exact type of hummus that they sell in stores you probably wont get there, they put all sorts of agents and other unmentionables in there foods!.
My recipie is quite simple and you just need to keep tasting an adding to it!.
1-2 cansa of chick peas or the soaked dried variety (depends how much you want to make)
2ish cloves of garlic
about 2-4 tablespoons of tahini
glug of olive oil
juice of a lemon or lime which ever you fancy
Then just blitz and taste!
You can also add fresh corriander, chilli etc to it for extra flavour :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hummus is a great lebanese dip and this is my grandmothers recipe, straight from lebanon, so here it is!.!.!.
200 g chickpeas, precooked
1/3 cup tahini
3 whole lemons, juice of
100 ml olive oil
2 garlic cloves
salt & fresh ground pepper
1) Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor!.
2) Blend into a smooth, creamy paste!.
3) Taste and add more lemon juice or salt to suit your taste!.
4) It should be the creamy consistency of mashed potatoes!.
5) Thin with additional lemon juice, chick pea liquid or water if necessary!.
6) Scrape into an attractive looking bowl!.
7) Drizzle oil over the surface in a decorative pattern!.
Serve it with wedges of pita bread (either soft or fried like chips) and raw vegetables!.
Now that is some good hummus!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
