Question: Rice and Soy Sauce!?
If I mix some soy sauce and hot hot sauce with rice is that healthy!?
I don't eat it a lot, but sometimes theres rice left over from dinner and it's soo good!. =] I know soy sauce is high in salt so I put like 1/2 a teaspoon per 1 cup of rice -ish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
soy sauce is the Asian version of our table salt and you need salt!. rice is a grain so that's good for you!. both together taste great!. i also add a little drained canned tuna fish = protein and no fat(almost), very good for you!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For instant meal, its ok!. Try using higher grade of soya sauce which are brewed from natural bacterial and fungal cultures instead of are made from hydrolyzed soy protein!. These soy sauces do not have the natural color of authentic soy sauces and are typically colored with caramel coloring!. Similar products are also sold as "liquid aminos" in the US and Canada!.
Don't have it too often coz the meal itself is not well balanced and another point is eating leftover rice is not very good coz the rice might be contaminated already unless u reheat them again before eatingWww@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds OK to me with one reservation!.!.!. warm rice left out of the fridge will soon be colonised by more bugs than you can imagine, the moisture, warmth and the many cavities allow for super growth of thingies so be sure and give the rice a good zapperooonie in a microwave before eating!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i dunno if it's healthy or not!. im from hawaii and local food has a lot of asian influence!. like every meal is served with rice and most locals drizzle their aloha/kikoman shoyu (soy sauce) all over the rice and whatever else you are eating!. sometimes life was tough and a meal for us was a bowl of shoyu and rice!. so, is what you eat healthy!? well, im still kickin' and im sure i eat more shoyu and rice than you do!.!.!.lol!. take care and aloha!

edit!.!.!.oh, and i dunno if im healthy in your definition but im healthy in mines! healthy=happy!. =]Www@FoodAQ@Com

I like to heat the soy sauce with tiny bit of sugar, then sprinkle it on the re-heat left over rice, serve with 2 fried eggs!. It would be more healthy to have some boiled vegetables at the same time!Www@FoodAQ@Com

i think so, i like it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

why not try to use oyster sauce and water, this makes a much nicer tasteWww@FoodAQ@Com
