They are very similar except the alcohol choice!. Picatta usually contains capers and white wine, whereas Francese contains sherry!. They both contain lots of lemon and are cooked in the same method!. Veal Marsalla is also quite similar, but contains marsalla wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

all I can say is picatta has this lemon taste to it, I'm not sure what a Francaise is!. But if your ever planning to make picatta make it chicken it taste weird with veal!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Picatta is more of a buttery lemon sauce with capers!.!.!.!.!.!.
