I am a Chinese from Hong Kong and my favorite delicacy food from my country is braised abalone (dried abalone) with chicken & ham stock & oyster sauce - Cantonese cuisine!.

I'm from Bulgaria!. For me it's named "giuvetche"!. It's like casserole, but with top!. You can use yena casserole, too ( with top)!. I'll give you for one small yena casserole:
You need some sausages, 50g cottage white cheese, 1 tomato (or pure),1 roast red pepper, spices-hot pepper, slavory, nutmeg ( without salt), some butter, 1 egg!.
Put first sausage, red pepper, then cheese!. Sprinkle with spices!.Put water until 1/3 !.Put top!. Roast in oven in 200oC for 30 minutes!. Put egg on the top!. Return in the oven!.Turn off the oven!. You needs 5 minutes for ready egg!.
Edit: If you put some fried potatoes, it's very OK!

i choose Rendang, it's a beef meat chopped in square like pattern and cooked with santan (coconut meat mixed with water) and also a lot of chilli pepper, so it's taste very spicy and hot yet and the same time, delicious!.!.!.

make a dough using milk powder with some rose essence and milk to soft consistency!. heat ghee, make small balls out of the dough!. fry the balls in ghee till dark brown!. make sugar syrup!. add these balls to the syrup and taste it after a little time so that it is not too hot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i'm from singapore!.!. my fav delicacy is chilli crab with fried buns!.!.!.mmm!. not sure how it's prepared, i'm sure there're many steps involved!. i don't see why americans wouldn't eat it!.!.!.i've seen several westerners tuck into it very happily before!Www@FoodAQ@Com
