It's an example of Japanese fast food but the standard is not really that consistent as sometimes the beef is rather dried out!. But on those days they get it right the beef is really tasty & tender, perfect with the plain Japanese-style steamed rice!. My favourite is to pair the beef with the salmon cakes!. Other choices include teriyaki chicken, breaded prawns & seasonal specials!.
Yoshinoya can be found in the U!.S!., so Americans shouldn't be that unfamiliar with it especially those in California! No reason to have that many outlets in one state if people don't like the taste, right!? According to their website, there's also an outlet in Las Vegas & New York!.

yeap i know it!.!.used to eat there relatively often!. i'm not american, but i can't imagine why an american wouldn't like it!. it's basically japanese rice with boiled mixed vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots mostly) served with whatever meat you choose!. i like the teriyaki chicken, am not really a big fan of the beef bowl!. you also get a bowl of miso soup on the side if you get a side!.
it's more pseudo-japanese than anything really, in my opinion (despite its history blahblah)!. i mean if you've tried REAL japanese food!. it's tasty though, and quick!. and now i'm craving it and can't find one in london!. ><Www@FoodAQ@Com

My advice is don't go!. Basically a bowl of rice topped with with ingredients of your choice (fish, beef, prawn)!. In singapore it costs roughly around $6 - $8 per bowl!. NOT value for money at all
Another negative point is that all ingredients are pre cooked and they just microwaved each order as it comes!. For $6 I can have a freshly cooked fried rice or noodles and it is much more satisfyingWww@FoodAQ@Com
