Question: My wife makes the most amazing rye bread!? Does anyone have a good recipe for rye bread!?
However, her mother has made her keep her family secret!. She makes it often for me because she knows I like it!. She pulls the dark bread out of the oven all nice and hot and we fight over the end pieces!. She serves it with real sweet cream butter!. My question is doe anyone have a good recipe for rye bread!. I want to make it one day and surprise her! She only knows how to do all this stuff cause her grandmother was a chef!. I want to show her I can do it too because she thinks I would starve if I had to depend on my cooking!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should make something other than Rye bread for her!. She probably makes the best and trying another recipe will never be equal, so find something else to cook for her!. What kinds of food does she like, maybe we can post some ideas for you!.!.!.!.Maybe Chicken Marsala, very simple but tastes deliciously complicated! You will wow her!
Here is the recipe and a step by step video!.!.
Chicken Marsala
Two boneless split chicken breast fillets (skin removed)
? cup flour
salt, freshly ground pepper
? onion finely chopped
1 teaspoon of minced garlic
2 cups mushrooms (your favorite will be fine)!.
? cup marsala wine(or any red wine)
butter
olive oil or any cooking oil
? cup chicken stock 4 T chopped parsely
Flatten the chicken breasts by placing the breasts between two pieces of plastic wrap halves & pounding with a meat clever until they are a uniform thickness about 1/4"!. Lightly dust with flour seasoned with salt & pepper!.
Add 2 tablespoons butter and splash of oil to pan at medium heat!. Gently fry the chicken on med high until it is caramelised!. Don't burn it, so keep it from getting to hot! Avoid burnt pieces or smoke!. The colour should be golden caramel!.
Remove the chicken breasts from the pan and set aside!. Add a tablespoon of butter to the pan with some diced onions and garlic!. Saute for 1 minute, then add the mushrooms for 2 minutes gently stirring till soft & wilted!. Add salt and pepper, then put the chicken pieces back into the fry pan!. Add an extra tablespoon of butter, ? cup of wine, parsley and heat until the alcohol evaporates!. Add ? cup of chicken stock!. Boil gently till reduced to a thick sauce!.
Serve with mashed potatoes or rice or pasta noodles!.

Sounds like you need to just keep her side of the bread buttered and you shouldn't need a different recipe!. Plus, it will never be the same cause all recipes are a little different!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
