I just have finished a year living with a Japanese student at a university in the south!. For breakfast he mostly ate cold breakfast cereal!. Sometimes he would have rice and a fried egg!. His mom sent many different Japanese food stuffs, but none were for breakfast!. She sent spices and noodles and glazes or sauces for meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I made "hotto caku" [!?] Hot cakes, maple syrup, bacon and eggs on the weekends for my hosts!. They enjoyed it, mainly because it cracked them up to see a grown man/father cook a meal for a family-very unusual to them!. [Men do not cook at home!.!.!.]Www@FoodAQ@Com
