Question: Recipe for Indian dish!?
I think it's called potata pura--it has potatoes, sometimes golden raisins, cashew nuts, no meat!. any help would be appreciated!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ya it called Potato Puri!. I give the recipe that my grandma teached me!.

INGREDIENTS:
4 large Potatoes (boiled and removed the skin)
2 tbs green peas (boiled)
? cup warm water
2 long Green Chilies chopped
4 Garlic cloves
1 onion
10 Cashew Nuts, Chopped and fried with ghee
10 Raisins fried with ghee
1 tbsp turmeric powder
1/s tbsp chilly powder (if you like hot)
1 tbsp aniseed powder
1/2 tsp Salt
2tbs ghee

INSTRUCTIONS:
Mix the potatoes, turmeric powder, chilly powder aniseed powder, salt, water and green peas in a bowl!.
Heat the ghee and fried the garlic for 10 sec, than add onion, green chilly till the onion turn in to light brown!.
Add the mixture and let it boiled and turn in to paste than put in the Fried cashew nuts and raisins!.

2!.2 lb potatoes
veg oil for frying
salte to taste
1sp red chilli powder
a pinch garam masala
1sp lemon juice
5-10 cashews broken
1tbsp raisens
2 tsp ghee
grated cheese
1 tbsp green coriander chopped
1/2 tsp chaat masala

scoop the center of potatoes out leaving thin walls at the sides
fry potatoe shells and insides seperately letting sides become crisp only
cool and mash the insides of the potatoes adding the ingredients
stuff mixture into the potatoe casings
arange on skewers
grill untill golden brown
sprinkle with cheese and green corriander and chaat masala
serve hot!
