Not too many people these days have crocks lying around (if you do, you're lucky!.!.!.!.!.!.) so that's what I use to make refrigerator pickles/squash in!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Since I don't make kim chee any more, I get the 2 quart glass jars at the 99 Ranch Market (think: An Asian Von's) and it costs about 7 bucks!.!.!.!.!.!.and keeps forever!.!.!.!.!.makes a great small side for Asian food!.!.!.!.!.!.Your gallon jar is the perfect vessel to make and store your kim chee!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Enjoy!!!

Glass jar is what it usually is stored in!. That's how it comes when you buy it at the Korean store and that's what my grandma stores it in when she makes it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
