Spices for Beet stew?....?!


Question: Spices for Beet stew!?!.!.!.!.!?
I have stew meat simmering in beef broth and minced garlic!. The carrots, celery, and onions are cut up!. Am I missing anything else!? I will be mashing potatoes to top the thick stew with!. BUT!.!.!.What kind of spices should I add to the simmering meat!? Thank you in advance!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A little salt & pepper, maybe a bit of coriander, some parsley, and definitely a bit (about 1/2 C) red wine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

black pepper,green peppers,ginger,tanglad or lemon grass,salt if you know japanese dashi try to use it as flavoring!vegetables should be cooked separately to avoid overcooking,you may add potato,cabbages and cauliflower (cooked/steamed)in hot bowl of beek stew!when served in a bowl you may add lime or calamansi as souring agent (just small or one piece of it will do)in the philippines this is called sinigang na baka!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

for a decent sized pot, i use 2-3 bay leaves, thyme, chili powder, cayenne, garlic, and sometimes savory if i happen to have it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

salt, pepper, bay leaf, parsley, maybe some dried dill, possibly some oregano or thyme!.!.
I also use a dash of worchestershire sauce in mine!.!. or some red wine vinegar!.!. (just a smidge)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bay leaves, and I would add some cumin too!. It's a great smoky flavor that adds depth!.

I have a suggestion on some herbs!.

A little bay leaf would be nice as well as some thyme as well!. Keep it simple!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
