Does anyone know what this fish and chip shop side order is?!

Question: Does anyone know what this fish and chip shop side order is!?
I used to love it as a child when I lived in England, but I do not remember what it is called!. It is white and fluffy and very crisp!. The closest thing I can relate it to is a potato chip (crisps for my English friends), though it is not a potato and is much bigger and puffed up!. Can someone please tell me what this thing is called!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Prawn crackers!. You can get them at most asian food stores: they look like hard rounds of plastic until you drop them in hot oil and they puff up!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Prawn flavored chips that puff up when deep-fried - prawn crackers (also called prawn flavored chips or shrimp chips); here in the Far East, there are also squid and fish flavoured crackers - great with beer!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Kroepoek (only one of many spellings) is another name for shrimp/prawn crackers!. You can see a pic further down this link!.
