As a sushi chef of 11 years I tend to like the way they make it!. Many of my peers will kill me for saying this, but it isn't that bad!. They use very little rice (which is proper technique) and stuff the roll with lots of ingredients!. My only issue is that it sits refrigerated which tends to harden the rice!. But if you need a quick fix, it sure beats dressing up, waiting & tipping!. Of course it will never be as good as sushi made fresh at a real sushi bar!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am not a sushi expert nor do I really like it!. But I do know that sushi from a grocery store would probably lose a lot of flavor and dry out!. It could also go bad and not be as fresh as you want it to be!. Therefore if you buy it from a grocery store you are paying for what you would pay for fresh sushi but at a grocery store you are getting sushi with a lot less flavor so I would say just go somewhere its fresh!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hitchnj hit it right on the head!.!.!.the secret is to buy what you find them making right on the spot!. When it's been sitting in a cooler for awhile, it's never as good!.

If you're ever going to have a party and want a large amount, check with the seafood manager (might also be the meat manager) and see if they will do a special order, but ask if you can wait for it!.!.!.remember, if you buy it at noon, and it sits in your frig until 8:00 that night, it's just as dried out as what was in the cooler to start with!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Publix sushi SUCKS as far as I'm concerned!. I've tried it at least 5 times and I'm always disappointed!.!.!. nothings better than authentic sushi freshly prepared from a Japanese or Thai restaurant!.!.!. or homemade from a "just caught" fish!. I'd give Publix a C-!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

grocery store sushi sits in the fridge getting dried out and losing its flavor!.!. however if you go during the day you can often get one that was made right there in front of you and did not sit in the fridge!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Supermarket sushi will never be as good as a sushi bar, but the prices at the supermarket will be much lower!. So you usually get what you pay for!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love it!!! Its greatWww@FoodAQ@Com
