Every one's advice so far is great!. One thing to add, though, is that my uncle -- Japanese/American -- told me when he taught me that to get really good, don't wait for the Asian food!. Eat everything with chopsticks!. I ate popcorn, french fries, spaghetti, soup, well!. !. !.EVERYTHING with them!. It took me about 3 days to become really extra good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I was a kid, we went to Japan and spent weeks before learning!. When we were on the airplane headed over, all the Americans were using them and all the Japanese were using forks! :-) But the big thing is practice practice!. Go to You Tube and search on it I'm sure there are videos and then just use them often!. Once you are able to pick up a single grain of rice, you're good to go!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Take the first chopstick and hold it between your thumb and pointer, bend your pinky and ring finger and let the chopstick rest on them!. Take the second chopstick and hold it as you would a pen to write!. Keep the bottom chopstick stable and use the top chopstick to pick up food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
