Live sushi/sashimi?!
i saw this video on youtube where this guy was served baby octopus soup, only it was still alive!. is there any restaurants in the states that cater to this!?!? would any of you try this!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am a sushi chef from Aspen, Co!. Another answerer mentioned that eating live food is unethical!. First I would like to address this!. Most veggies we eat are still alive!. Beer and wine are often still alive (microorganisms, such as yeast)!. A baby octopus, shrimp or squid dies upon hitting our stomach acids; it doesn't suffer!. Now the place i trained and worked didn't offer such items, but I believe there are some in the coastal cities which do!. Certainly, I would try it!. I have had live jumbo clam!. I love sushi, and eat it all the time, however I think eating something live is unethical and causes undue suffering!. I would never do it, and would be disappointed in someone if I found out they did it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
