Hummus is a Greek food; it's a spread made of chickpeas and olive oil as a base, plus several other herbs or flavorings that can vary!. Not everyone likes the taste of chickpeas, so it can be an acquired taste, but it usually has a nice garlicky flavor!. The texture is like that all-natural peanut butter, only not sticky!. It's great spread on tortillas and used in wraps!. It's also great on crackers as an hors de'ourve!. (Pardon my spelling; I'm not French!.)
You can buy it at Wal-Mart at the deli, where they sell their premade potato salads and dips!. It can cost more if you buy it at places like Publix, or health food stores!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
