Turkish and Greek food are similar!. Since they are neighbours, they learned lots of things from each other!. (Not only from eachother but also from Middle-East and North Africa!.) Turks learned olive oil dishes from the Greeks and Greeks learned different kebabs and yoghurt dishes, to give an example!. Gradually their shared recipes moved to the point of sophistication!.
I am Turkish currently living outside Turkey and whenever I miss Turkish food I go to a Greek restaurant and I feel at home!. The same thing is true for the Greeks!.
