Question: What would I have to go to school for if I wanted to do cooking at nice french restaurants!?
Answers:
To be honest, after working in the restaurant industry (four star, french & italian) for long, you can work your way up through the kitchen faster than going to school, by starting out in prep!. Once you get out of school, it's where you're going to land anyway!.

A majority of executive chefs (& owners) I know did NOT go to culinary school!. I do however believe you should go to school for patisserie & baking arts!.

Le Cordon Bleu is not only located in Paris!. They're found stateside also!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think every one agrees culinary school
HOW old are you!?!?

DO not flaunt your school unless your instructors will provide you with letters of introductions
hands on experience and good work habits will open doors for you!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

culinary school!.!. they are the ones that teach you the fancy cooking classes!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Culinary school teaches you the fundamental, techniques, and science behind cooking!. Some schools also teach you the restaurant business!. Of coarse you can learn these trades in actual restaurants!. Some people find that going to school better prepares them for that environment!.

I think if school were left out of the equation it would take you longer to learn these terms and techniques!.

And you'll learn french terms either way!. A class isn't needed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
