Can I bring Pasta Roni or Top Ramen from the US to the UK?!
I'm an American citizen about to live in the UK for 2 months and I want to bring some food for insurance, in case I need a quick meal and I don't feel like paying $12 USD for a sandwich!. Can I bring unopened boxes of Pasta Roni or Cup Noodles to the UK!? What if I open the boxes and place the dry pasta and sauce packets in a zip-top bag to save room in my carry-on!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

You shouldn't have any problems!. I think customs is more worried about fresh stuff like produce, meats, and cheeses!. What a good idea as it's SO expensive to visit as an American!. Unless you're going for work and you get paid comparably in relation to the US dollar-UK pound exchange rate!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
That is fine but both product are available in some form in the UK, and ramen there is the same as in the US, the carryon issues is best to refer to the airline, and in your checked bags ramen may get bumped around into flour, and as the other girl said a sandwich in the UK will not cost you $10 USD!.
I am a former chef from Canada, and travel there regularly we have alot of the same products here and so do you in the US and in the UK there food are required to be healtier than those in the US as per EU regulations, so travel with confidence and take a few things for as you said insurance, but the larger grocery chains there, Tesco, ASDA and Sainsburys all carry the foods from the US they may have a different label on them but the cook the same and are more nutritious!.
A Subway sandwich is around $5-6 USD, a McDonald burger and fries the same, then there is traditional English fish and chips, there not to expensive, and there chinese food is the same as in the US and if you like Indian food there both available for take out (they call it Take-away) for a similar price in the States!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, you can do that!. Unopened dry food should be fine!. I know, that when traveling, they don't want you to bring produce or plants!.
