Greek food explanations?!
Hi there!.My husband and I regulary travel to Cyprus and Greece and we are trying to find a book that explains what different Greek dishes are!.We try different things everytime we go but would loike a book to tell us all the local dishes!.Do you know anywhere we can find one!? we have tried ebay but they are just recipe book!.we don't want a recipe book as we wont be cooking them we just want explanations of each dish for when we go to restaurants!.We do ask the waiter but we like to know before we go to the restaurant then we can pick when there!.Thanks in advance!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

There aren't usually books written just describing different dishes, but often travel guidebooks will have a food section where they do just that!. also check out english-to-greek dictionaries designed for travelers!. These types of dictionaries usually have a food section!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I recommend searching "Greek cuisine" on Wikipedia as that gives you good explanations and shows several pictures of food!. It saves money then so you can spend it more of your holiday!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
