Answers:
In traditional Japanese cooking, it is mostly a soup base!. But you can use it to make salad dressings, sauces, glazes, or add flavour to almost anything!. Really, it goes with everything!.!. Try it on apples- its phenomenal!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Miso is not just use for soup!. It goes well with vegee, tofu, meat and fish!.

Miso Steak: 1 LB beef , pork or chicken
marinaed sause ( 6 tsp White or Red miso, 1tsp soy sause, 12 tsp sake or red wine, 5tsp sugar and 1/2 tsp ginger ) Mix all ingredients well and marinete meat at least 2-3 hours !.

There are a few of my faviorete way to use miso are
1!. heat 1 Tbs sesame oil , add and cook throught 1/2 lb ground chicken or turkey !. Add 3 Tbs miso and 4 tsp sugar!.
This goes well with tofu and rice!.

2!. Mix well 2 Tbs mayo, 1Tbs miso &1Tbs soy sause!.

It's used solely as a soup ingredient, a base!. Japanese meat dishes are always crumbed!.
