Answers:
Reindeer meat!
Obvisouly you could substitute reindeer for normal deer so opt for maybe some venison jerky or something!. The Fins love strawberries and grow the absolute best I have ever tasted so anything with strawberries would be a winner!. Smoked salmon or herring and cheese platters are also traditional!. Hope that you have a great picnic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here's an easy to make, traditional Finnish casserole!. The only caveat is that it uses anchovies, which some people do not like!. The anchovies can be substituted to any other salty meat or fish, though!.

Janssoninkiusaus - Jansson's temptation!. A traditional Finnish dish!.
10 medium potatoes (about ?kg)
1 tin of anchovies (125 gr)
2 onions
2,5 dl (1 cup) cream!. If you are worried about the calories, you can substitute 1 dl of the cream with milk, but cream gets tastier results!.

Entirely optional ornaments:
? dl breadcrumbs
Capers
2 – 3 tbs butter

Easy to make steps:
Slice the peeled potatoes in a fine julienne style, or grate them into small sticks!.

Peel and chop the onions finely and mix the onions with the potato sticks!.

Cut the anchovies into pieces (Save the liquid inside the tin! I usually just draw a knife repeatedly across the fish inside the tin, possibly holding the fish in place with a fork!. Be very careful not to spill any of the liquid, as it is very smelly and gets worse!.)

Grease an oven casserole and place half the potato sticks, chopped onions mix into the casserole!. Lay the anchovy pieces inside and then on top another layer of the potato onion mix into the casserole!.

Pour on top of it all the cream and the anchovy liquid from the tin!.

Additionally, you may decorate by sprinkling the top with breadcrumbs, possibly a few capers, and add a few tablespoons of butter over the surface!. But none of these decorative ingredients are crucial!.

Cook at 200 degrees Celsius for approximately one hour!.

Eat with some salad and/or pickles!. Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com

OOoohhh!. You need to bring, like, a barrel-full of vodka!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
