Vegetarian Indian dish?!

Question: Vegetarian Indian dish!?
I was at a festival recently and there was a vegetarian Indian food booth!. I bought this one dish that I thought tasted incredible, except that it was extremely spicy and I am very sensitive to spicy foods!. I would like to try to recreate it, minus the spicy!. It was a vegetarian dish, and some of the ingredients I remember are puffed rice, cilantro, some kind of nut or peanut, red onions, garbanzo beans, etc!. Does anyone know the name of this dish or where I could find a recipe for it!? (xposted to Vegetarian and Vegan)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds like a dish from "Goa" a southern Indian province and is similar to the Channa Masala or Chaat Masala the other lady said, there food is ultra spicy due to the chilis they use and there influence from the Portuguese, that is were Vasco Da Gama landed when he first came to the country!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Baby that sounds like every vegetarian dish they have!. If you're into Garbanzo beans then go for Chana Masala also known as Chhole!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

This is definitely "Bhel Puri"!.To lessen the spice add little chutney and little chili powder or don't add any green chillies!.
Good Luck Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
