Is there any special occasion for eating curry?!
I heard that people in the middle-east eat couscous when they want to make friends again with somebody whom they had fight with!. I wonder if there is such a story or anecdote related to curry, if there is any special meaning in eating curry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Curry is served all around South Asia!. Curry is just a braised cooked dish with a set of spices that give it the unique flavor!. Its a method of cooking!. In India, almost every meal has a curry (Vegetable, or Meat), Grains (Roti, or Rice), Dried bean soup!.
On special occasion, you make richer curries!. Among non-vegetarian Punjabi weddings you will have Lamb curry, or Buttery Chicken served with Naan (Clay oven baked bread)!. In Vegetarian weddings, you will have Aloo Gobhi (Potatoes and Cauliflower) served with Poori (deep fried bread)!.

The word curry is from the old English and was spread around the globe which is why so many different cultures have what are generically described as curries!. It simply means a dish of prepared food!.!.!.!.there was a programme on TV!. Not long ago about Richard the seconds cook who left behind a collection of recipes which he entitled a selection of curries!. I may be wrong since I'm not from a culture that eats curry regularly, but judging by my curry friends I'm sure there isn't a particularly special occasion for eating curry!.

As an Indian, curry can be eaten 24/7!. Curry is a British word for the Tamil word "kari" (stew or gravied dish)!.
