What are some healthy snacks that can be found at a mexican grocery store?!
I've just recently begun working an internship in a mostly Hispanic neighborhood, and we're right next to several restaurants and mercados!. Since I'll obviously have a few occasions where I'll be hungry and want to quickly pick something up, what might be a good option!? I know that Mexican food is not widely known for health!. I've seen some things like tamarind bars, nuts (not very fond of nuts) and dried spiced fruit (mangos and pineapples), so there's that much!.
Their drinks, even juice, also seem to be very high in sugar!. (Although it's usually real sugar rather than corn syrup, so that's in its favor)
I'm not too concerned about fat if it's healthy fat (like avocado products), just about not getting too much grease or sodium or generally icky things!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
