Interesting dessert????????!

Question: Interesting dessert!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I had this dessert at a friend of a friend's place over the wknd!. It was like Turkish Delight but crunchy and sticky!. It was covered in a thin glaze or syrup!. They were little 1 inch squares in size but could have been cut from a larger piece (like a cake!?)!. They were pastel yellow or pink (rose flavor!?!?)!.

I am sorry I dont have more info, not even sure what country they could be from!. But they had a pleasant enough taste and a wonderful interesting texture!.

This has been driving me crazy, so if you know, do tell!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think you are referring to "petha" (pronounced "pay ta"), it's an Indian dessert!. Your description is right on the mark, but believe it or not --- it's made from pumpkin or ash gourd! There are lots of varieties, so the color may differ!.

I have parents from the Philippines and I buy a dessert called Polvoron which is sweet powder stuck together and comes in different flavors including peanut butter, cashew, pinpig(crunchy) and Oreo!.Go to a Goldilocks store and get a box of them!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

the easiest thing to do would be to ask the friend to ask their friend how to make them or where to get them ,,sorry I dont have any ideas on what they are!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Baklava, for sure!!! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
