Yes and no, the main problem that I have with Carribean food is that you only seem to be able to get it at takeaway places, and as such they don't charge a lot, and use cheap cuts of meat!. A few more Carribean restaurants would be great, as I'd happily pay more for restaurant quality carribean food!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes I do!.I have tried jerk chicken, goat curry, saltfish and ackee and as I am planning to become vegetarian soon a number of vegetable dishes-vegetable curry, pea casserole and the like-all have been great!.I really love fried plantain as a side dish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I love jerk chicken and agree it doesn't taste half as good at home as it does in the Caribbean!. I got married in Barbados 2 months ago and fell in love with their speciality dish of flying fish, especially when it is coated in their spicy breadcrumbs!. I also love their fishcakes they do with a spicy dipping sauce!. Yummy!
Im not a cake person but love their Tortuga rum cake!. I loved it so much that I even got some sent home to me since we got back home! It cost a fortune on postage but was well worth it!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Jerk chicken with rice and peas!. Walkerswood do a nice jerk seasoning, although it's best cooked on a barbie, preferably an oil drum one with a lid, with some wood shaving mixed in with the charcoal for that woody taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ox Tail is pretty good!. The meat is super tender, but it has a lot of fat, so be prepared!.
