The first lady is right, they are more like a smaller english cucumber, fewer seeds and straight not curved, smoother skinned like the english style!.
Are best peeled, then seed and cut, a light salting and rinse before using, it take some of the bitterness away!.
I buy them here in Toronto Canada at an Iranian market, they grow them on there farm, he told me there's is the same strain as the Lebanese, but grown in Iran, he imports the seeds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are a smaller version of a cucumber and have a more bitter and sour taste!. You should be able to find them in your supermarketWww@FoodAQ@Com
