Are there any kinds of Mexicans pies?!
My mom is thinking about opening a pie shop!. In the town we live in, there is a large population of Hispanic people!. Is there any kind of pie that is highly enjoyed in the Hispanic cultur!? Thanks for your info!.:]Www@FoodAQ@Com

Empanadas would go over well! They are usually individual hand pies, but I believe they are most often baked!. The filling can be savory or sweet and a very popular one is pumpkin and another is beef!. The pumpkin has a lot of spices and is good and sweet, while the beef one can be either really spicy or can be made with some spices and raisins!.
I've seen empanadas with all kinds of fruit filling for the sweet variety; cherry, peach, and mango are three that are pretty popular!.

Empanadas are the only kind of pie that i heard of but they usually have "sweet bread", cakes, flan and jellos!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
