Whats the name of the japanese fried squid balls?!


Question: Whats the name of the japanese fried squid balls!?
I saw them on tv and they look pretty good and i cant fin them at any japanese restaurants where i live!. can anybody please tell me the name of them!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

The dish is called takoyaki, ("tako"= octopus and "yaki"= fried) and since it's more of a street food dish, you should try going to a Japanese community in your area and there might be a stand selling it someplace!. (I live in Los Angeles and there's a popular takoyaki stand in Little Tokyo)!. Unfortunately, there aren't any takoyaki restaurants in America like the ones in Japan where you can cook it yourself!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Its tako-yaki & in my country, there are 3 varieties, octopus, chicken ham & prawn!. My fav will be the chicken ham cos the octopus ones usually have a pungent taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
