I bought some small ears of corn at the produce mart that the vendor called 'sticky corn' - what is this?!
how is it different than regular size ears of white or yellow corn!? Can I prepare it the same way and eat it off the cob!? The ears are 1/2 the size as I usually see in the store and they look more white than yellow!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

"Sticky Corn" is a variety of corn from Asia!. The kernels are slightly more waxier and more glutinous than the sweet corn we know in the US!. Sometimes known as "sticky waxy" corn or simply "waxy corn", it can be eaten just like regular corn!.
But it's not as sweet so it works well in savory recipes & dishes!.

Without seeing the corn it sounds like it could be Honey select or Candy corn!. Candy Corn has small cobs & doesn't have much yeild as other corn , but you fix it like other corn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
