Look for it in the Kosher section, it is made by "Streits" and is a seaweed derived gelatin not animal products, it is also known in the Asian community as Agar or Agar-Agar, I have a friend who is a rabbinical scholar and we talked about this once and I have bought also, and I am a former chef and use only non-animal gelatin products!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I believe that kosher gelatin is based from Agar agar (a vegetable based gelatin product which is also vegan friendly) go to whole foods and look for their vegan jellos made with agar agar!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes, if gelatin is labeled Kosher than it must be made with beef!. If you can find it, Grayslake Gelatin is made only with beef, no pork - I am not sure about Knox!.
