In the southern part of Georgia, USA, we have bacon, cheese grits, toast with jelly, sausage, pancakes, fried salmon patties and scrambled eggs!. Don't worry, I'm not fat! lol!.
Traditionally, people cook their bacon in a cast iron skillet on a stove top for about ten to fifteen minutes but I put mine in the oven!. Cheese grits is like Cream of wheat but with a different texture!. Not many people know how to cook them outside of the south but a trick is to add milk with the water for a creamier taste!. Same with scrambled eggs, if you use grade AA eggs and add milk to them, your eggs become fufflier!. For the cheese, we usually add a strong aged cheese for flavor and a regular mild cheddar cheese!.
For the Salmon patties, it is best to use the kind out of the can b/c fresh salmon patties do not have the texture you need (and they taste funny)!. You take the bones out, put an egg in to keep the patties together and you fry them in hot oil!. I do not fry anything!. I hate frying anything!. I know this b/c I watch my other and husband do these patties all the time!. I hope I answered your question!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
