here are some good views

I don't see any stringsWww@FoodAQ@Com

I suppose it certainly can be as any sausage can!. But at my deli it does not have the strings!. You can also find it prepacked by Hillshire Farms, among others, that does not have the strings!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends whos making it, some manufactuer ties strings at the ends to keep the meat inside its casings!. some do a twist or even knot the ends so it depends on the one whos making it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not that I have ever seen from my local Polish deli!.!.!. which does carry quite a large selection of sausages!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends entirely on which company made the sausage!. Some use string, some don't!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They only use strings to tie off the ends of the casings!.
Some do some don't!.
Is it necessary!? No!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

no, the string is only used at the end of the sausageWww@FoodAQ@Com
