Question: Unique SPAM recipes!?!?!?
I grew up in Hawaii and LOVE LOVE LOVE SPAM, I cant get enough of it!. So I am looking for new and interesting recipes!.

Please dont say Musubi or any other Hawaiian Spam recipes, I am very familiar with them already!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My mother used to brown the spam to a golden crispness and serve it with grits and eggs!.!.!.that is my favorite way to eat it!.!.!.but you could just get any ham recipe and substitute spam for ham!.!.!.I am a poet!.!.lol!.!.!.for example-----

Potato, Spam and Cheese

Ingredients:

4 cups diced potatoes
2 cups chopped green onions
5 tablespoons butter
5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 1/2 cups milk
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons chopped pimiento
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
2 cups diced Spam
1/2 cup plain soft bread crumbs
3 to 4 tablespoons butter, cut in small pieces

Preparation:

In a saucepan cook potatoes and onions together in lightly salted water until tender, 12 to 15 minutes!. Drain!. To make white sauce melt 5 tablespoons butter in a medium saucepan!. Add flour, stirring until blended!. Cook, stirring, and gradually stir in milk!. Add Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, paprika and pimiento!. Cook, stirring, until thick!. Place half of the cooked potatoes and onions in a large buttered 3-quart baking dish!. Cover potatoes with half of the cheese!. Spread all the Spam on the cheese!. Cover with remaining potatoes!.

Pour the cooked seasoned white sauce over all!. Sprinkle remaining cheese over top!. Sprinkle with bread crumbs then dot with butter!. Bake in preheated 350° oven until cheese is melted, about 10 to 15 minutes!.

Here's my recipe for my spam salad!. 1 caned spam diced into small 1/4 in!. squares, 1 jar of dill relish, 1 onion chopped, 4 boiled eggs, 1 / 12 oz!. bag of shredded cheddar cheese, mayo, salt and pepper to taste!. Mix up and place on bread for sandwiches or you can add tomato diced and place on a bed of lettuce or you can take the center out of a tomato dice it up and mix with it, then place back in the tomato, set on a couple of lettuce leaves and put your favorite crackers around it!. Pancak roll ups with spam!
make some boxed pancake batter
then cut spam into strips and brown on all sides!.
pour pancake batter into hot skillet then place a pieceof spam in the middle and fold up the sides of the pancake to close the spam in!. flip once until pancake is cooked on all side then sprinkle with powdered sugar and dip into maple syrupWww@FoodAQ@Com

My nephew just fried sliced spam yesterday and I had a lean cuisine panini (spinach one) and decided to add the slice in between!. Let me tell you, it was pretty damn good!!! But since I was on a diet, I won't try again!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I chop the spam up and fry it!. Then I chop up some potatoes and fry them!. When they are done I mix the span into them and add salt, pepper and onion powder!. I heat a flour tortilla up and make a burrito with home made salsa on top!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My fav!. is so simple!.!.!.I just slice it in 1/4 inch slices and flour lightly and brown in butter and / or oil!. Top with cheese if you like and make a sandwich!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

not sure if you like Chinese Fried Rice!. simply cut SPAM to cubes, throw it into the rice with mixed vegetables and fried eggs!. Serve hot with some Thai sweet chili sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
