Is sushi fattening?!

Question: Is sushi fattening!?
Answers:
I eat sushi quite frequently and I haven't gained any weight!.

If you like avocado rolls there is a significant amount of natural fat in avocados!. Sushi can be healthy because it's made of rice an good source of niacin and a moderate source of protein, thiamin and iron!. also, most fish isn't that fatty and can be very good for you!. Fish is generally a healthy protein choice, lower in saturated fat, total fat and calories than a comparable portion of meat or poultry!.

If you eat rolls with fried stuff in them I would avoid those!. They can put on the pounds!.

Last but not least, use the soy sauce sparingly!. Sodium in large amounts increases blood pressure!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The word sushi acrually refers to the rice and not the fish, so given that statement, there will ALWAYS be rice in sushi!. Pieces of raw fish served without rice IS NOT CALLED SUSHI, it is called Sashimi!.

Rice is loaded with carbs and can be fattening if eaten in large quantities!. A california roll with rice, crab, avacado would be one of the more caloric sushi pieces but it is still healthy!.

Most fish is not very fattening even thought shellfish and oily fish like tuna, mackeral and eel are more caloric than other flat white fish!. I would still hesitate to list any fish on the list of foods I would consider fatteningWww@FoodAQ@Com

Fattening!? Depends on what your definition is!.!.!. is ice cream fattening!? Yes!.!.!. comparatively, sushi isn't fattening at all!.

But fish has fat!.!.!. thankfully, most of it is Omega-3 fat which is actually very good for you!. Especially salmon and tuna!. The tempura fried vegetables you find in sushi are not very fattening either, compared to deep fried foods you get in American cuisine!.

And, all things considered, sushi is really quite good for you!.!.!. just look at the Japanese people!. They eat sushi every day and are considered the healthiest nation on the planet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
