I've researched this myself and it is evident that cajun and creole cuisine would qualify as the best American food!. Hambugers and hot dogs have roots in Europe!. Tex-Mex can be considered American, but that is controversial; just look at the name of the cuisine!. Other foods that are American, but never get credit include: pancakes, biscuits, Ceasar's salad, chili, onion rings, the flour tortilla (San Antonio), corn bread, macaroni and cheese, buffalo wings, fried chicken, chicken marsala and the all-time favorite and most controversial; spaghetti and meatballs! Oh!. And let's not forgot salad as a meal!.
And for dessert madame, we'll be serving: chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies, brownies, peanut butter, cookies, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, apple, pumpkin, and pecan pies!Www@FoodAQ@Com
