Question: Where can I find a list of curries ordered by hottness!?
curry heat!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
There's no set hotness to a specific curry, per se!. The heat depends on the whims of the chef preparing the dish!. However, you might be able to assume that creamier dishes will be less spicy than ones that are less creamy, but this assumption isn't always correct!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It depends on a number of factors!. Basically the number 1 factor is the clientele of the restaurant!. If you go to an Indian restaurant in a metro area , the clientele will have a wide range and from what I have discovered, you have to go to the same place at least twice if you like it very hot!. Many places will not make very hot curry dishes for somwone the fist time because hot to one person is mild to another!. If you order it extra hot (or Indian Hot), you should get anything from a bite to a real kick!. If it is not enough, have them take it back and add chili to it!. If you are in a small midwest town and order extra hot, they will add a drop of tobasco!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are you referring to Indian or Thai curry!? There is a lot of difference!. I do not know where you will find a list other than google!. I can tell you in Indian cooking that Marsala, Jeera and madras are medium strength curry and Vindaloo is Hot, very hot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
