Heaven in my families (I'm Asian) and even my american husband has come to loves this unique fruit and even sneaked some inside his hotel room here in China which is a big no no for any hotel since the smell would linger in the room!.

A Vietnamese ancient tale says that (shortly): A Vietnamese husband refused to eat durian which is a strange plant growing only in the homecountry of his Cambodian wife because that it is bad-smelling!. But his wife said: "Please eat it!. It tasty like my heart"!. Unfortunately, his wife died soon then!. And he had never married one more time!. He went home and spread this plant over Vietnam!. Vietnamese called it "s?u riêng" (an own sorrow) to remember this faithful love!.
