Answers:
it will be edible, just tell everyone you made your own version, called crunchy flan, who knows, this could be a big hit, some people like crunchy, good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The caramel actually melted into the flan most likely and most likely you ruined the insides of the flan!. You can still serve it!. I don't see why not!. This did not alter the taste!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It should be fine, it soften by tommorrow, which is what you want, as you don't want it crunchy!. Serve it and enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i was told that you cool the caramel with the flan mixture on the fridge!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You should have brought the flan to room temp first!.

I don't know whether it will work!. Just be careful!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Call it Flan Brulee - a cross between Flan and Creme BruleeWww@FoodAQ@Com
