What are some common traditional SOUTH AMERICAN DISHES?!


Question: What are some common traditional SOUTH AMERICAN DISHES!?
As in food not dishes like plates lol, i dont know of any resturants around here who feature south and central american food, just mexican, is it the same as mexican or no!?
so what are some common breakfast lunch dinner dessert and drinks!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

When I was in Ecuador, I recall eating plantains, which is quite common as with rice!. They also ate a lot of legumes, beans & black beans, corn, calamari, fruits, bread!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Not exactly Mexican but also they are influenced by Spaniards who ruled their countries!. Like in central America they love the sanchocio!.Sopa di gallina!.Tamales ,chicharon (pork cracklings) Rice and beans,Yucca or cassava and fried plantains!. They love also the dried beef called tapas , green salad with cilantro ,fresh lime and aguacate or avocado!.Fargo frito or fried butter fish or small Fried grouper!. They love to eat raw fish which they called ceviche!.
They love also the lechon de leche or baby roast pig!. each of this south American countries have their own variation of Spanish paella or riso Valencias!. They love meat bar b q or grilled meat and they called them , asado , churrasco alla parilla or barbacua!. They eat also a lot of yams and sweet potatoes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

As a foreign exchange student in Brazil, we ate a lot of black beans and rice (with practically every evening meal)!.!.!.also, we ate seafood like mussles mixed with tomato sauce!.!.!.yummy!. Fresh baked bread, and coffee were staples, too!. Junkfood-wise, chocolate, chocolate cake, soda called Guarana (which is supposed to have some health benefits)!. One thing that was not my favorite, that you might like is sugar cane juice as a beverage!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My neighbor's family is from Porto Rico and they eat a lot of beans and rice!. I don't know of any restaurants either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
