What are Sausage Links?!
I understand sausage links are american in origin and I wanted to know if it means just normal sausages like the ones here in the UK!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yep, sausage links here are normally for breakfast!.!. they are 3 to 4 inches long and about 1/2 to 1 inch in diameter!.
There is also bigger sausages which we call hot dogs but they are sausage links too!.

BUT links are not American!.!.!. but we do have "little pig sausages" as a breakfast treat that are prepared in small 2 inch links,
the whole concept is from the Old World!.!.
America is only (!?) 600 years old !.the USA = 1776

I think it is the word "links" in reference to sausages that is American!. Sausages, whether linked together or separated, are most likely German in origin!.

Sausage links are generally breakfast sausages, they are long sausages with the casing twisted every so often in lengths where they can be cut and seperated when cooking!. Even many unlinked varieties are sometimes referred to as links!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
