Is pimenton the same as paprika or cayenne?!

According to the website below, it was a precursor to paprika in Hungary!. I would have to say it's milder like paprika, not bold and fiery like cayenne!. I however have never tasted it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Pimiento, Paprika, and Cayenne are all 3 peppers, but different varieties!.
