Answers:
I hope not!. In Italy, somebody created a movement called Slow Food whose aim is to counteract the influence of fast food restaurants!. It is now an international movement:

In France, although young people (and some others) often eat fast food, there are many people who maintain the tradition of home cooking!. The problem is not only fast food restaurants, but also ready meals, that are full of calories and not very good!. What is important is to re-discover or discover the pleasure of cooking a meal and of sharing it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

No - to "will they replace traditional foods!?"!.
Maybe yes - to it being a bad phenomenon!. (I'm not a fan of global chains of fast food!.)
It depends on what else those people are eating!. Variety is good and it's nice to try new things!. McDonald's don't serve the same foods in all countries anyway!. For example, in India, you're unlikely to find a *beef* burger!. You might find a veggie burger, though!. In Thailand, they're not keen on beef either, but unlikely to find a veggie burger!. I can't say what they offer instead because I don't go to McDonald's!.
Anyway, it's only the more affluent who can afford these things!. The rich can afford good nutrition and diet products to mitigate the effects of this type of food, while the poor can't afford to eat this sort of junk!.
I very much doubt if the fast foods will replace the traditional food!. I still occasionally crave for traditional food from my own country (Scotland) even though I've not lived there for many years!. Many other people are the same!. And many other people don't even want to try unfamiliar cuisines!. The fast food thing in, for example, Asia is mainly about people wanting to experience what they think of as Western culture!.
No research - just experience and opinion!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
